What is Clean HE9 Extrusion?
Clean HE9 aluminium extrusion covers consistent wrought profiles, commonly 6063 alloy, made by pushing aluminium through a shaped die. Window and door frames, shopfront sections, curtain walling, and similar profiles are common sources. "Clean" means the load is free of thermal-break plastic, rubber seals, steel screws, and other non-aluminium attachments; painted or anodised finishes may be accepted, depending on the yard.
Tips for best price
- Split thermal-break profiles and remove the insulating strip before treating them as clean extrusion.
- Pull out rubber gaskets and plastic clips, including material hidden inside channels.
- Use a magnet to find steel screws, corner brackets, and reinforcement before weighing in.
- Keep cast handles and mixed sheet separate; a similar silver finish does not make them extrusion.
